LillyThis is the story of Lilly. Lilly is the Fund's unofficial first case. Lilly was brought into my clinic at two years of age. She was born with a congenital abnormality of her hind limbs that required surgery. On presentation Lilly was having difficulties ambulating and was in severe pain. Her owner was not financially able to care for her and asked that she be euthanized. Instead of euthanizing we requested that the owner relinquish her to our care. Surgery and hospitalization were provided at a discounted price and I paid the rest out of pocket. She is now a member of the family and can keep up with the pack. She may require future surgeries however, for the moment she is doing great.
